Campus ❙ Chairs and Professorship's
executives, lawyers, and rising corporate board members,
to understand the principles and mechanisms of corporate
governance, and to apply the concepts in a real-world way
to the workings of a corporate board.
KPMG is one of ESCP's pioneering and iconic partners. For
more than 15 years, the International Corporate Governance
Chair, now a Professorship, has been a space for reflection
and sharing where KPMG has passed on its expertise, while
providing intellectual and financial support for research
and teaching activities on the subject of the governance of
transnational groups.
By offering this simulation in open-source format, KPMG
and ESCP mark the end of the Professorship, making the
results of several months of work accessible to the greatest
number of people.
KPMG and ESCP are now exploring the aspirations of Generation
Z in the New Generation Management Professorship.
RIU and ESCP Business School reaffirm their alliance with a Professorship
dedicated to CSR projects
After five years of mutual collaboration on the topic,
ESCP Business School and RIU Hotels & Resorts have
agreed to the creation of a Professorship. The aim is the
design and development of joint projects and activities
of applied research, knowledge transfer, dissemination,
teaching and innovation in the field of CSR.
The hotel company and the business school have been
working together since 2017 on academic projects related to
corporate social responsibility (CSR). ESCP Business School
supported RIU in the creation of The RIU Method, a work
methodology on which the company bases its social and
environmental investment.
With this Professorship, both entities have created a privileged
space for reflection and sharing, which allows the
company to transmit its know-how, develop its corporate
brand and support research and teaching activities in some
of its fields of activity and professions. The research programmes,
reviewed by a scientific committee, will involve
ESCP Business School academics, students and researchers
from other academic institutions.
The lines of work on which this collaboration will be based
will focus, on the one hand, on building and designing
communities of learning, knowledge gathering and dissemination,
which contribute to the conduct of studies related
to CSR in the hotel industry. In particular, they focus on the
social return and the impact of CSR investment on social/
proximity communities. The second line of work will focus
on academic consultancy missions to complement, improve,
consolidate and standardise the CSR initiatives implemented
in previous technical assistance.

to sustainability and social investment in the hotel industry,
and thus transfer the results of our collaboration to society, "
comments Lola Herrero, who is an Associate Professor at
ESCP Business School (Madrid Campus) and will be in charge
of the Professorship.

to formalise and give rigour to this shared adventure in
order to define new directions and challenges, based on the
systematic basis provided by applied academic research, "
