at ESCP
WINL (Woment in Leadership Network and Society) is an inclusive network of all
genders and sexes which intends to provide an inclusive, relaxed and safe environment
to share ideas, knowledge and create long-standing relationships
What is Women In Leadership?
Women in Leadership Network and Society
(WINL) at ESCP aims to create a sense of
community that promotes inclusivity, gender
equality and sustainability across ESCP
campuses and the business world.
We commit to:
1. Create and promote a sense of community
and inclusivity;
2. create safe and friendly networking
opportunities with potential employers;
3. make connections and blend passions;
4. promote gender equality and
sustainability.
What made you start the society?
How did you do it?
Camila, President & Executive Board
Member: As an admitted participant to the
ESCP's MBA, I got awarded the Women in
Leadership Scholarship. This result offered
me an opportunity and enhanced my interest
to give back but also create a platform
that would raise awareness on inclusion
and gender equality. Before starting our
classes, I contacted Solene Hoyez (Student
Experience and Events Manager, London
Campus) and Crochenka McCarthy (Senior
Manager - Open and Executive Masters
Program, London Campus) as well as two
of my classmates, Erika Ng Wong and Jue
Wang, who eagerly joined me in founding
the Women in Leadership Society at ESCP.
Since our incorporation last September,
we have been quite busy in setting up the
team and our organisation. Our Board

of Directors is a mix of men and women
from the Executive MBA and the MBA programmes.
Our Team members are highly
diverse stemming from Bachelor and Master
students across all disciplines. We feel proud
of our growth. I'm thankful for what has
been done so far and the amazing team we
have put together!
What events are you planning to
host for the rest of the school year?
We recently had our first-ever event entitled
Diversity and Inclusion: A Closer Look
at Bloomberg and Google last December
1. We welcomed an engaging panel that
discussed diversity and inclusion practices
in the workplace. We will be hosting a monthly
Book Club, taking place every third
Tuesday of the month. Moreover, we will
host workshops, roundtable discussions,
fireside talks, coaching sessions, webinars
and panel discussions. These events will
be taking place online, and as restrictions
allow, we intend to have face-to-face discussions
when possible. In the meantime,
we are enjoying the possibility of meeting
with people from all 6 ESCP campuses.
If you had one wish for WINL what
would it be?
We hope to create a space for REAL conversations
to take place - and by real we mean
opportunities in which we listen to each
other, and share our thoughts, whatever
they are, so we can have honest discussions
and create a more inclusive, diverse and
welcoming community.
