Another successful example is the Paris District Heating Company which supplies one third of public heating in Paris and began a programme to modernize its boiler rooms in order to reduce pollution and promote renewable energies. It offers free, independent information and advice on any measures which aim to reduce energy consumption and combat climate change. Its advisers assist both individuals and professionals at all stages of their projects, whether it be the thermal renovation of a building or accommodation, or simply how to adopt an eco-friendly behaviour. The "Agence parisienne du climat" also has a monitoring and informative role, as well as offering its expertise on innovative techniques and practices in terms of energy-saving.
