an ASTM E119 one-hour load-bearing
firewall with LitePan and a lightweight
non-combustible layer on top of it.
A total of 72 two-floor and 25 one-floor
EEBs were built as part of this project.
The LitePan® system brings an R-25
insulation value and all the composite
materials used for the EEB are VOC
free and eco-friendly.
This composite EEB system proved
its high insulation performance by
maintaining a 25°C inside temperature
without air conditioning while the

outside temperature was 46°C.
Gable roof house
As part of another project, a small 45m²
house was built in Korea in seven days
using 14 pieces of LitePan® SIPs.
The house has an R-27 insulation
value and uses ASTM E119 one-hour
load-bearing fireproof system.
No structural beams were used and all
the LitePan® panels were connected by
LiteTex® thermoformed profiles to have
monolithic structure.

The heating system is intentionally installed with one-third of the originally
required capacity to demonstrate the
insulation performance of the LitePan®
SIP.
With a high level of insulation and airtight sealing over the complete area of
the house, the average heating cost recorded was less than $8/month during
the last two winter seasons while similar dimension house with conventional
building material needed more than
$100/month..

Toxic gas emission test
The test result of KS F 2271 was exceeded by 12 minutes while the
test specification is more than 9 minutes.
Total VOC (TVOC) emission test
SGS test reported by EPA method 5021 (GC/MS); no VOC detection.

Litetex and LitePreg are produced in a continuous way.
LitePan is a product laminated with LiteTex

Feature Building and Construction

Fire resistance
LitePan passed the ASTM E119 one-hour fire resistance test using
a LitePan (150mm with GPS insulation foam core) and sheetrock
system. The test details are as follows:
- A "3 x 3m" LitePan® specimen was used;
- A "2 metric ton" load was applied on the specimen during the
entire test;
- The furnace temperature was increased to 950°C and maintained for 62 minutes;
- The temperature of the opposite side of LitePan system remained lower than 29°C during the entire test;
- After the fire test, a hose stream test was conducted with
high-pressure water (30psi);
- The LitePan wall system passed the E119 test without any crack,
hole, opened joint, void or defect.
