Focus
Diversified Machine Systems (DMS), a USbased original equipment manufacturer of

At this point, or any time during the
program's execution, the feed rate and
spindle override can be adjusted for
better part surface performance.

Tool Inspection mode
Another feature is the ability to change
tools or perform tool calibration offset
directly in Tool Inspection Mode. A
softkey will appear that allows the
operator to jump directly into Tool
Calibration

Mode, allowing the operator to set a
new tool. The feature then allows the
return to the original position with
Cycle Start to resume to the interrupted position or MDI when ready to proceed. This benefit is especially useful
when the program interruption was due
to tool breakage. The operator can call
another tool or set an entirely new tool
in its place.

New feature
Cancel Continue is another new feature
on the Fagor 8065 CNC Control.
While in Tool Inspection Mode, the
operator can now change the continuation point of the program from the
interrupt position. By choosing the
Cancel Continue softkey, a cursor will
appear over the program code stop
block that allows the operator to scroll
either forward or backward within
the program to select a new resume
program position. From there, he can
resume the program.
This is particularly useful for tool
breakage interrupt conditions because
it allows the operator to return to the
point of the breakage. For example,
when cutting large parts, many of the
initial roughing passes cut air due to
initial part location. Now the operator
has the option of stopping and fast
forwarding the program to a new position, reducing idle time and increasing
cycle time.

Retrace feature
capability

The Fagor 8065 CNC
Control also offers a
Retrace feature capability that allows
the operator to
interrupt
the program, and
manually
reverse it for up
to 75 previous program blocks. Another
feature allows the

custom ability to modify the program
that is being executed. If the operator
chooses this feature, he simply names
the program with the .mod extension.
Any program with this extension is
then available for modification within
the execution mode, enabling changes
in the part program during the cycle for
maximum tool performance.
The Fagor 8065 CNC Control also
allows for custom screens, windows
and operator pop-ups. A Simulation
Mode enables the part program to be
simulated in Graphics or main plane
commands as desired, available in both
High Definition Solid Graphics or
Conventional Tool Path Line Graphics.
Zoom or full part orientation and
rotation is a standard Graphics Mode
feature.

For any conditions
Ultimately, the Tool Inspection Mode
allows the operator to pause the program while being executed, and explore
other aspects of the machine without
losing the program's position. The
purpose of this feature is to have a solution contained within a single mode for
any conditions that may arise during
the execution of a program - from anything as simple as break periods to tool
replacements.
The Fagor 8065 CNC Control is designed for high-performance applications
- equipped with advanced features
required for high-speed machining
while still maintaining the best machining surface finish with maximum
accuracy. The 8065 CNC Control is
available with either a 10" or 15" highresolution LCD TFT colour or touchscreen display, Ethernet, USB and a
built-in touch-sensitive mouse pad. It
can control up to 28 axes, 4 separate
spindles with 4 different execution
channels and also includes an Auto-Tuning System setup capability. n
