OliKrom smart pigments

Located in Bordeaux (France), OliKrom has developed a
new class of smart pigments that change colour with temperature, light and pressure. OliKrom is now a major player
in the customized design, production and integration of
such smart pigments. This new generation of pigments, internationally patented, is the result of 8 years of R&D maturation.
The industrial scale-up step has been completed and OliKrom holds the required
design and production knowledge, and an exclusive licence for commercialization. The
company can conduct customized research & development work to create a pigment
for a specific application, but also ensure the production of pigments up to several
tons per year. OliKrom meets the industrial specifications and, if required, ensures
the feasibility tests, the R&D study, the integration into a specific matrix and/or the
production of its pigments at the industrial scale as powders, paints, varnishes, inks or

Porcher Industries explores new
dimensions in 3D

The D3SIGN product range from Porcher Industries offers
potential 3D solutions, including a towpreg technology
dedicated to automated, advanced fibre placement (AFP) and
filament winding. These innovative products provide potential
applications for out-of-autoclave (OOA) processing. These
towpregs are continuous carbon or glass fibres treated or impregnated with high-performance thermoplastics. Depending on the final application, the polymer content by
weight can range from 30% to 50%. According to customer requirements, the fibres can
be fully impregnated in various widths. Compared to slitted tapes, towpregs are 100%
continuous, avoiding any splice. With the D3SIGN solution, the industrial process is
optimized: high-speed processing, lower energy consumption, low curvature angle,
constant weight and width along the towpreg, no dry/lift fibres on the towpreg surface
(low pollution of the AFP machine), and less downtime (no splice management).
Mechanical properties are also improved: no weakness in the final part (no splice), homogeneous performance (stable fibre content along the towpreg), and management of
non-isotropic performance in the final part. Finally, costs are reduced: no carbon waste
during the AFP process and more efficient towpreg process (energy, speed, constant
weight and width). The D3SIGN towpreg is of particular interest for the aerospace,
aeronautics and oil & gas industries.

honeycomb core. TOP Clear - a lightweight clear resin system designed for the
manufacture of laminates with a translucent finish - is ideal for the production of clear
carbon parts. TOP Clear provides high mechanical performance with superior UV

extensively by many aerospace OEMs. Sicomin's

market now gathers pace with SR1124 receiving
a DB certification. The SR1124 fire-retardant
epoxy resin offers exceptional fire resistance
as required for automotive, rail, aerospace and
construction applications. Designed for hand
laminating and filament winding, it is optimised
to ensure halogen-free and flame-retardant properties with low smoke opacity and toxicity levels.
The SR1526 fire-retardant resin for prepregs is a
two-component epoxy system suited to in-house
prepregging due to its ideal viscosity and range
of combination hardeners. SR1526 has numerous accreditations for aerospace interiors and is
suitable for rail applications.
