The UBC MBA The UBC MBA is a rigorous 15-month programme built upon a challenging and results-focused curriculum that prepares students for business leadership. Specific minimum academic requirements from different countries can be found on our website, where our online application is located. Applicants with less than two years’ full-time work experience are admitted to the programme only under exceptional circumstances. Applicants who completed their degree in a language other than English must submit acceptable TOEFL or IELTS scores to demonstrate English language proficiency. Candidates with diverse academic and professional backgrounds are encouraged to apply. A rolling admissions process is used, so it is to the applicant’s advantage to submit a completed application early, prior to the deadline CORE Programme The Integrated Core provides an intensive foundation in finance, marketing, accounting, human resources, statistics, managerial economics and information systems. It is team-taught as one comprehensive course to mirror the complexity of the global business environment. Individual subject areas are taught separately and from an integrative prospective to help develop students’ understanding of the true multidimensional nature of business. Students develop a broad-based, senior-level strategic approach to business decision- INTERNATIONAL perspective The UBC MBA programme offers students a global perspective through specialized international courses, interaction with the multicultural student body and faculty and participation in one of the many MBA exchanges. UBC exchanges with an impressive list of 24 leading business schools in 20 different countries around the world. I Internships Students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge through either doing a three-month internship with an organization or working on an industry project related to their area of specialization (supervised by a faculty member) AWARDS Entrance Scholarships of up to half tuition are awarded to the top 25 % of incoming MBA students each year. I Career services The Career Development Programme (CDP) is dedicated to enhancing students’ personal effectiveness through seminars, workshops, guest speakers, discussion groups, networking events, career coaching and self-directed activities.
