The average of seven years’ work experience results in a total of 600+ years per class. Application requirements are: minimum 3 years’ work experience, strong English, accredited Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, GMAT score and 3 letters of reference. I Academic background of participants Engineering 39 %, Business and Commerce 30 %, Natural Sciences 17 %, Social Sciences 9 %, Finance and Economics 12 %, Humanities 3 % on open-minded participation, exposure to international experts and interaction with classmates and participants of other executive programmes. I Average work experience 7 years. On average, participants speak 4 languages and the majority have worked outside their home country PROGRAMME description Three main streams run throughout the IMD MBA: leadership, entrepreneurship and networks. These are supported by core courses, International Management, International Consulting Projects and electives. Three important team elements push MBA participants beyond the comfort of the classroom: • A Leadership Experience trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina has two objectives: to understand the challenges facing the country and to advise government on how to attract foreign investment. • Entrepreneurship Projects make participants ‘live the start-up experience’ by developing a business plan for an existing startup company. • Dynamic Learning Networks develop the skills needed to build networks across company and country boundaries and to facilitate rapid knowledge creation opportunities. The combined total of class hours, projects and exams is the equivalent of a two-year, full-time programme.
