SPAIN MBA IESE The Global Executive MBA lasts 16 months and is divided into seven modules. Each module consists of two weeks of home-based Pre-Module study; a two-week Residential Session in Barcelona, Silicon Valley, Madrid and Shanghai; and finally six to eight weeks of Distributed Learning via the on-line Global Campus platform. FACILITIES IESE’s campuses in Barcelona and Madrid together occupy more than 33.000 m2 of world-class facilities and grounds. The campuses offer an ideal environment for study, reflection and interaction. The Barcelona facilities include a fully equipped Computer Center and state-of-the-art lecture halls, meeting rooms and library. METHODOLOGY As the objective of the IESE MBA programmes is to develop managerial knowledge and skills, the primary teaching methods are highly interactive. The main pedagogical tool used is the case method, focused on international best practice cases, which is complemented by research material, lectures, discussions, presentations, team work, business plan development and simulations to offer a comprehensive learning experience. A strong sense of team is developed between faculty and fellow participants both during and outside the classroom sessions. I EXCHANGE PROGRAMMES ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS • The MBA programme requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least two years of professional experience. All applicants must submit the admissions application form, including essays, letters of recommendation, GMAT and TOEFL test results and attend an interview arranged through the IESE Admissions Office. Professional experience is evaluated, as well as academic achievement. • Executive MBA candidates must have five years of professional experience. Proficiency in Spanish and English is a requirement (TOEFL/TOEIC scores must be submitted). All applicants must submit the admissions application form, including essays, GMAT test results and one letter of recommendation and attend an interview through the IESE Admissions Office. • Global Executive MBA candidates must have at least 7 years of international work experience with a steady career progression. All applicants must submit the online application form, two letters of recommendation, a letter of support from your employer, GMAT*, TOEFL* and a personal interview arranged by the Admissions Department. * GMAT and TOEFL : IESE’s Global Executive MBA Admissions Committee will review applications without a GMAT and TOEFL based upon the credentials presented in the application. Applicants are, however, encouraged to present a GMAT score as it can assist the Admissions Committee assessing the applicant’s candidacy to the programme. In addition, the Admissions Committee reserves the right to request a GMAT score if needed to support the application. IESE collaborates with 21 business schools in the USA, Europe, Latin America and Asia to offer study abroad opportunities to approximately 60 students each year. schools send the same number of students to IESE. These schools are: North America: Berkeley, Chicago, Columbia, Cornell, Darden, Duke, Kellogg, Michigan, MIT, NYU-STERN, Tuck, UCLA, UNC, Western Ontario, WHARTON. Asia: CEIBS. CUTIVES I CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR EXE- IESE also offers extended learning programmes (24-26 weeks) for high level managers and in-company programmes. More than 4,000 executives participate in these programmes annually and they are compatible with the demands of a professional schedule. I INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMMES In collaboration with USA partner schools, IESE has developed “International Executive Education Programs”, which are one to three-week programmes for international senior executives. Examples of these programmes are: “Achieving Breakthrough Service” and “Strategies for Transforming Multibusiness Corporations”, in association with Harvard Business School, and “Renewing Global Strategies” with the University of Michigan and the University of Cape Town.
