Retail news opens in Saudi Arabia On May 6 th 2009, Chinese famous brand Aimer opened its second overseas shop in Saudi Arabia with the intention of entering the Middle East lingerie market and developing international growth as well as brand recognition. In order to satisfy the increased demand of Saudi women for intimate apparel, Aimer opted to locate the store in the “Al Shatea Mall” in Dammam city, which is a major oil center and the primary port of KSA. With a floor area of 1313 ft 2, the refined store carries the three brands of the Aimer Group: Aimer, La Clover and imi’s, with the unique charm from China. This event marks an essential step for the development of the Aimer Group in this market and the company is already planning to open more Aimer stores in the Middle East region. Aimer First Elizabeth Hurley Beach Boutique On April 2 nd 2009 St Tropez beachside glamour arrived in the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside with the launch of Elizabeth Hurley’s first standalone beachwear boutique at Bicester Village, the UK’s premier luxury outlet village, and a favorite shopping destination for A-listers. The Elizabeth Hurley Beach Boutique is the first of its kind in the world. Bicester V illage, one of the nine Chic Outlet Shopping® V illages in Europe, was chosen for its location and comparable brands, boasting a dream-like collection of 120 prestigious British and international luxury fashion and lifestyle labels and is also a stone’s throw from Elizabeth’s home in Gloucestershire. In the form of a beach hut, the Beach Boutique is a central feature among the charming boutiques that line the captivating open air promenade of the village. It stocks Elizabeth’s unique beachwear collection for adults and kids as well as Philip Treacy sun hats and C utler & G ross s unglasses. Elizabeth, who at the opening spent plenty of time greeting all the customers commented “My Beach Hut opening at Bicester Village ELIZABETH HURLEY was great: I served 126 customers in my two hour stint behind the till. W e sold lots of special pink bikinis and sarongs and I’m donating 100% of the ticket price to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The customers were great and it was a really special day.”
