Editorial Towards an eco-world First semester 2008 - N° 1 Last April Intima Asia published a wide section on eco-fibers. One year later it is all about new developments in the “ecosphere”: bamboo, hemp and organic cotton have fully integrated any fabric collection, eco-fashion labels are blossoming all around the world and especially in the US where the spawear sector has already become a very lucrative market. But, not surprisingly, it is in Asia where the real change is more likely to take place thanks to the construction of brand new facilities taking nature into account. This is the case of the very first green factory in the intimate apparel business which will start operating this spring in Sri Lanka, the first of its kind but aiming to become a benchmark for numerous others. A very positive sign for our common future.
