Launching The Luminess goddess For its first loungewear and night lingerie collection, Zurich-based Swiss brand Luminess set their sights high. The collection is themed within its seven lines, with specially conceived evocative names, to feel good both at home and by the pool: Nyx (Goddess of the Night); Hemera (Goddess of the Day); Aphrodite (Goddess of Love and Beauty); Selene (Goddess of the Moon), Harmonia (Goddess of Harmony); Maia (Goddess of White Magic) and Freyja (Goddess of Love, Beauty and Attraction) with pieces especially designed for a honeymooon or a holiday. Insouciant glamour best characterizes the collection, flowing and light, with nothing left to chance: satins with vibrant prints, Georgette silks, laces, Swarovski crystals and even embroidered cottons in fresh, summery colors, are combined with the latest in fabric technology for the perfect comfort and beauty. From young girls to the more mature woman, from the slender to the generously curved, the maxi skirts and dresses, baby-dolls, tops, undershirts, culottes, bloomers and underpants can be mixed and matched at will. New label for Guia For F/W 08/09 Italian designer Guia La Bruna unveils her second label, Guia Lab. The new label will consist of three series comprising complementary pieces named after nymphs, for a collection to wear everyday thanks to the lightness of the styles and the materials and to the delicate natural colors. Joining Guia La Bruna’s namesake collection, Guia Lab tends towards light silk muslin, including an exclusive print designed by Guia herself. For Galatea, strawberry red baby-dolls with long printed muslin ribbons that tie in loose bows under the breast; for Daphne, chestnut colored silk dresses framed with little pink frills and a long light green ribbon, playing with the superimposition of two layers of obliquely cut silk; whilst Thalia offers a top enriched with large frills at the waist, irregularly splashed with dots here and there for a contemporary and original appeal.
