France Passport for the Electronics Business USA Fourth edition of the Best Shop Awards 200 selected guests gathered on the 5th August to celebrate the winners of the Best Shop Awards, a competition honoring the best specialty lingerie and swimwearstores in the USA, organized by The Best of INTIMA. Following the lengthy task of national selections, made possibile by a Jury of exclusive brands, the finalists for the competition’s five categories were revealed over the course of an exciting award ceremony at the Marquee, one of New York’s hippest nightspots. After the applause guests enjoyed a Standing Dinner followed by an evening of dancing with an exceptional DJ. The Best of Intima Lounge area At the entrance to the Lingerie Americas Las Vegas trade fair, The Best of INTIMA lounge area allowed visitors to view the photographs of the award ceremony for the «Best Shops Awards 2007», the gala evening that had just taken place in New York. The setting also gave West coast visitors the opportunity to exchange information with the magazine journalists present in the Lounge Area. An instruction session on how store owners can optimize internet usage was carried out at the INTIMA stand at Lyon Mode City in collaboration with the CEFAC, really capturing the attention of the numerous participating store owners. The presentation allowed store owners to become familiar with the internet as a means of communication and to access a certain number of facilitations for eventual computer purchase. An interesting initiative that INTIMA will develop further in 2008. The Intima T-shirt, already at its third edition! Realized in natural fibers, the new September 2007 edition of the INTIMA T-Shirt called upon the expertise of a young Italian company, Vartes, known for its savoir-faire in the seamless and natural fabrics scenes, and those of fashion designer Beatrice Paola Ruffini, project coordinator from the beginning with the magazine’s very first T-shirt. Produced in a limited series, the T-shirt was given to the boutiques and visitors to the Intima/Network Dessous stand at Lyon Mode City 2007. USA, Lingerie market trends On 11th October in New York Francesca Spinetta, CEO of The Best of INTIMA, presented a panoramic view of the evolution of the lingerie market, with a focus on professional trade fairs throughout the world.
