Interview 25 years of success On the eve of their Silver Anniversary, Cosabella looks to the future with important projects and fashion news: we reveal them in an exclusive interview. The Best of Intima chats with Guido Campello, Vice President of Branding and Innovation at Cosabella, who together with sister Silvia flanks their parents in this big adventure. GUIDO CAMPELLO Cosabella How is your business team structured today? Cosabella is a family business and this distinction is a big credit to its success, especially in the US where it is rare to find a reality of this kind. The arrival of the new generation alongside founders Valeria and Ugo Campello (respectively, President and Creative Director of Cosabella, ed.) is infusing new lifeblood into the brand. My sister Silvia has taken on the role of Vice President of Operations; as Vice President of Branding and Innovation, I work alongside my father, Ugo Campello, on the style facet of the business and Roberto Guaitoli manages the Italian market. I am also responsible for the new showroom which opened a few months ago in New York, bigger and more functional in respect to the first showroom launched in 2004, which has already become a not-to-be-missed destination for celebrities who are genuine “fans” of Cosabella products. In 2008 Cosabella will celebrate an important anniversary kings, conceived for high-range boutiques, which, strengthened by the huge success already earned, has become its own independent collection. Not just intimates and beachwear, then: will you expand your range any further? Next year the company turns 25. Amongst the various initiatives ideated to celebrate this birthday, we have launched in the US a line of boudoir stoc106 Cosabella is moving in strides towards the total look, with a new collection designed by Italian designers using Italian fabrics, deriving from intimates to also embrace clothing: within this line, pants, skirts and tops are designed to match the underwear sets, also characteristic of the Pàp is the framework and fitting expertise typical of Cosabella intimates. The first prototypes were presented at neoZone in Milan at the end of September, with a patchwork of high color bold
