Business News Noyon back on course Famous French lace company Noyon has completed the internal reorganization plan it began in October 2008 and strengthened its financial situation. Renowned worldwide, the Noyon group aims to reinforce the positioning of its high-end lace, Label Dentelle de Calais, in order to establish its leadership and increase business in the lingerie, readyto-wear and haute couture sectors. With its impressive assembly of looms, one of the biggest in the world, Noyon has always been a prestigious representative of the lace production tradition and carries out the entire chain of production, from yarn preparation to maintenance of the centuriesold machines. Thanks to its prestige Noyon expresses the value of Calais lace especially through the Darquer, Alphalace and Noyon collections. Furthermore the group also owns a knitting production plant in Biyagama, Sri Lanka. Its Sri Lankan team and its collection of Jacquardtronic and Textronic looms provide an important part of the production of knitted lace on the basis of the collections developed in Calais. With the Calais unit for the production of limited series lace, the total of looms reaches 50 which function independently or simultaneously depending on the clients’ requirements and establishement. Introducing Muehlmeier Bodyshaping Gmbh At the end of 2008 Muehlmeier Fashion Elements changed its name to Muehlmeier Bodyshaping Gmbh. This decision reflects the company’s wish to clearly define its product positioning in the shapewear and larger cupsize segment where over the last few years it has become recognized as a true specialist. The change is expressed through a new corporate image which was presented at Interfilière Paris. As regards the range of products, Muehlmeier Bodyshaping Gmbh has met the market’s increasing request for figure enhancing larger cups with a new generation of cups where the support is contained within the padding for added comfort and a sensual modern look. In Paris the company presented two new products: cups with integrated lateral support for a perfect shaping and support of the breast; cups with a completely integrated underwire giving added comfort even to those women with more generous breasts. 98
