nderstanding the business world is one target of ESCP Europe campus in Berlin. Explanations by Professor Dr. Ayad Al-Ani, Rector. The private educational sector in Germany is seeing strong growth and ESCP Europe Business School Berlin and other private business schools have played an important role in this development. All the private business schools in Germany have different profiles and none of them has this European dimension and internationality we have. Compared to public universities we are much more flexible. This puts in the excellent position to incorporate the needs of the fast changing business world much faster into our Master and MBA programmes.

Our Alumni

are important ambassadors for our business school.

We are a scientific business school and a state-recognised academic institution at the university level fully accredited by German law. At the Berlin Campus we offer Master programmes (Master in Management, Master in European Business) and an European Executive MBA as well as a General Management Programme. We are the only ESCP Europe Campus that runs its own doctoral programme. This advantage gives us a leading role among German business school faculties. The Master in Management Programme is our flagship programme. We also offer the Master in European Business which is a very comprehensive education in all major fields of management primarily to students with a non-economic background. In Germany we are one of three schools offering such a program.

We need to intensify the dialogue and cooperation with our alumni. There are more than 4,500 alumni in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, which is the largest alumni group outside of France. I believe there is great potential and we need to step forward in making the « ESCP Europe brand » visible and exciting to all of them. Our alumni are important ambassadors for our business school. They have contributed to and benefited from our business school like no one else. And today, they are embedded into the business world, being aware of the requirements of international companies and organisations for their talent and executive education management. So it will be important for us to further develop the relationship with the alumni and find optimal platforms of knowledge transfer and exchange which will be valuable for both, the alumni and us.

For us at the Berlin Campus, an international research focus is inextricably linked with excellent management training. We want to support companies in a changing world by combining theoretical progress and practical research. However, having a research focus does not mean that we shun practical experience, which we ensure through close cooperation with the business sector and our alumni
