Our Executive Director’s visit at the Berlin Campus

shall result in a more comprehensive approach of companies by the teachers and give executives a better understanding of the results of Research. Caroline Bruniau-Schöllkopf, Head of Corporate Relations, wishes to increase cooperation with alumni in order to get closer contacts to companies for internships and recruitments. Several meetings took place with MBA and MEB students, as well as a meeting with alumni living in the Berlin area, the latter being organized with the efficient support from Vanessa COX (92 BE). These were as many opportunities to give objective information to all participants and remind them that ESCP Europe Alumni is the only European association of students and alumni, aiming at offering such a range of efficient services as: l a network of 35,000 persons with 150 groups worlwide (by class, by profession, by geographical sector) run by 700 delegates and organizing 400 events per year; l many carrier services: one to one interviews in French or English (1,000 per year!), more than 80 workshops covering a range of professional issues, 20,000 job offers and the «Beat the Crisis» Pack; l news and information about the alumni and the network: the Directory (online and paper), e-newsletters (among them, an international version in English) and a high class Magazine. Furthermore, during these meetings, students and alumni were able to express their needs and wishes: network events, specific attention to those in search of a new job, dedicated communication tools… These constructive discussions gave very helpful insight to our team and Dominique DENIS wants to thank all participants for their presence and contribution! Based on the fact that about one third of its 35,000 alumni live out of France, ESCP Europe Alumni is intensifying its internationalization: an International Development Manager, based in London, has recently been hired. Also, in cooperation with AVARAP, a new service helping alumni in search of new career opportunities has just been launched in London. ESCP Europe Alumni will continue getting involved internationally with a new position to be opened in Berlin in order to better serve its community in the German speaking countries. n January, Dominique DENIS (77), our locum tenens Executive Director, visited the Berlin Campus in order to meet with key people from the School and create closer links with students and alumni. Dr. Ayad Al-Ani, the new Director of the Berlin Campus, welcomed the support offered by the ESCP Europe Alumni Association insofar as it helps develop people’s awareness of the School in Germany. He insisted on the necessity to offer dedicated services to students and alumni in the German speaking area. Pr. Marion Festing, Associate Dean for Research, and Pr. Stefan Schmid, MEB Academic Director, supported the idea of intensifying the relationships between Research -conducted at excellent level at ESCP Europe- and corporations. The large number of alumni working at key positions in European companies will make it possible to develop cooperation between teachers and executives on new research projects. This
