Fragrance
P&G is to roll out a new fragrance for the Rochas brand this year called Les Cascades de Rochas. The pink-tinted citrus floral fragrance, created by in-house nose Jean-Michel Duriez, is meant to evoke the freshness of waterfalls, in line with the brand’s other ‘Eau’ scents. Les Cascades de Rochas comes in a long simple glass bottle with a crystal sphere top. The fragrance will be backed by an advertising campaign featuring American model and socialite Olivia Palermo. Launches
Annick Goutal is to launch a new unisex fragrance called Nuit Etoilée. The fragrance, composed by perfumers Camille Goutal and Isabelle Doyen, is described as a fresh aromatic woody spicy scent. The traditional Goutal bottles have been given a blue tint, and the women’s features a blue ribbon at the neck, while the square glass flacon for men sports a dark blue label. Annick Goutal was acquired by Korean company AmorePacific Group last year. Launch: May Prices: 100ml EdT women’s flacon - €93; men’s bottle - €85
French brand Nuxe has sought to adapt its iconic Huile Prodigieuse dry oil to fragrance. Called Prodigieux le Parfum, the fragrance is intended to recall the scent of the oil, which launched in 1991. The scent was created by Serge Majoullier of Mane and includes top notes of bergamot, mandarin, a heart of rose, gardenia and magnolia and a base of vanilla and coconut milk. The brand says that with this new launch, the pharmacy channel will be able to offer the equivalent of a prestige fragrance. Launch: May Price: 50ml - €45
Parfums Panouge is rolling out its second fragrance for French jewelry brand Poiray. The new fragrance is inspired by the jeweler’s Sceau de Coeurs ring design, and takes its name from this collection. The bottle features a cap in the shape of the ring and is made of six different components. Sceau de Coeurs the fragrance is an oriental floral by Marie Salamagne of Firmenich. Panouge signed a license with Poiray in 2008 and unveiled a limited-edition perfume extract retailing at €500 for the brand the same year. This new fragrance is more accessible, retailing at €67 and €90. Launch: April-May Prices: 50ml EdP - €67; 100ml EdP - €90
